Here are Oman's highest rates of precipitation in last five days

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has published data of the rate of precipitation in a number of Wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman that were affected by an upper air trough during the period from January 24-29 (until nine in the morning).

The Wilayat of Mahdah recorded the highest rate of precipitation during the upper air trough. The wilayats of the Governorates of Al Buraimi, Musandam and North Al Batinah received the largest amount of rain.

The data shows that the highest amount of rainfall was recorded in the Wilayat of Mahdah at a rate of 124 mm, followed by the Wilayat of Shinas at a rate of 105 mm, the Wilayat of Liwa at 103 mm, then the Wilayat of Dibba at 90 mm.

The amount of rain that fell in the Wilayat of Mahdah was 75 mm, followed by the Wilayat of Ibri with 61mm and the Wilayat of Khasab with 53 mm. This was followed by the Wilayat of Barka (43 mm), the Wilayat of Sohar (37 mm), the Wilayat of Taqah (36 mm), the Wilayat of Qurayyat (35 mm), and the Wilayat of Masirah (32 mm).

The data of the distribution of the rain also indicated that the lowest amounts of precipitation were recorded in the Wilayats of Muqshin and Rustaq at a rate of 2 mm, followed by the wilayats of Suwaiq, Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, Izki, Dama and Al-Tayin, Sumail at a rate of 3 mm.
