Ministry celebrates as more than 1,800 teachers complete training

Muscat: The Specialised Vocational Training Centre for Teachers, affiliated to the Ministry of Education, celebrated graduation of the first batch of 1,883 graduates, under the auspices of Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court.
Sayyid Khalid said in a statement that the celebration comes within the tremendous efforts of the Ministry of Education with the support of the Education Council and as part of the care and attention accorded to Omani teachers.
Dr. Madeeha bint Ahmed bin Nassir Al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education gave a speech in which she congratulated the graduates who have successfully completed the specialised programme for vocational training of teachers and for the programme they have completed which she said would contribute to enhancement of the level of performance at schools.
The Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on establishment of the Specialised Vocational Training Centre for Teachers has enabled the Ministry of Education provide training reference and a platform for exchange of expertise, she added. She said that the programmes of the Centre have been designed in cooperation with reputed universities with the participation of specialised Omani cadre.
The Centre aimed to develop the vocational criteria and the methodology used in educational process. The ceremony was attended by a number of their highnesses, ministers, undersecretaries and members of the State Council and Majlis Al Shura.
