Muscat: India's Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday that the CBSE exams for Class10th have been cancelled and 12th have been postponed.
“Board Exams for Class 10th cancelled and 12th postponed. Results of Class 10th will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. Class 12th exams will be held later, the situation will be reviewed on 1st June by the Board,” the Ministry of Education said.
Thousands of students appear for CBSE board exams every year in Oman.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, Education Secretary, and other important officials to discuss the issue of CBSE board exams.
