Muscat: The Ministry of Health has denied rumours about the shortage in availability of respirators at Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah.
The Ministry of Health said in a statement: "The Ministry would like to warn that there is no truth to what is being circulated on social media regarding the crisis of providing respirator at Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah."
The Ministry affirmed “its readiness to deal with the Corona pandemic, and that it has increased the capacity in all hospitals, as well as its pride in the health workers from citizens and residents who are making their efforts and energies to serve patients.”
The ministry called on everyone to take correct information from official sources and said: "The ministry has the right to implement the legal accountability for everyone who tries to create confusion and the allegations that not truth."
