Parts of Oman witness rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms

Muscat: Parts of Muscat and South Al Sharqiah Governorates witnessed heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, accompanied by active downward winds.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said: "The latest satellite images show the flow of cumulus clouds on the coasts of the Sea of Oman. Currently, we are monitoring rainfall of varying intensity and thunderstorms, accompanied by active downward winds over the governorates of Muscat and South Al Sharqiah, and may include the governorate of South Al Batinah in the coming hours."
