Muscat: The Zubair Corporation announced the commencement of the vaccination campaign for the second dose of the ‘COVID-19’ vaccine for all employees of its subsidiaries, within all the wilayats of the Sultanate, on August 1. This effort is in line with the national vaccination drive, spearheaded by the Ministry of Health. The vaccination center at Zubair Automotive Group in Azaiba witnessed a large turnout of employees towards completing both doses of the vaccination.

The Zubair Corporation seeks to enhance the work environment in the corporation and its subsidiaries through the implementation of several plans and programmes that contribute towards providing a healthy workplace for employees. The Corporation places significant importance and attention on the health and safety of its employees. This is made possible through the implementation of the highest safety standards across various work environments, either at The Zubair Corporation or any of its subsidiaries.

Commenting on the campaign, Hilal Omar Al Siyabi, Head of Corporate Services at The Zubair Corporation, said, “We are pleased with the large attendance of the employees from the companies affiliated with The Zubair Corporation, to be administered with the second dose of the vaccine. This reflects the team's commitment to implementing relevant measures to reduce the risk of the virus and its infection. We look forward to completing this campaign in the upcoming days, to enable ourselves to be fully prepared for the recovery phase.”

"I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to the campaign team and the Human Resources departments from all the corporation's subsidiaries. Through their efforts, they were able to do everything required, necessary for the campaign’s success and achievement of its goals. I would also like to thank the concerned team from the Ministry of Health for their dedication in facilitating the required procedures,” Al Siyabi added.

From her side, Nawal Salem al Hashemi, who is supervising the vaccination campaign, said, “Coordinating campaigns like this on a large scale and involving all employees, across various entities, is not an easy task. Our success in organising this campaign would not have been possible without the collective efforts of several employees, who were present, day and night, to ensure that the campaign was conducted seamlessly and without any delay or confusion. I Together, we look forward to completing the second phase and as prepare for the post-COVID era ahead.

“I would like to remind all our colleagues and emphasise the need to maintain their full commitment to all relevant precautionary measures, even after receiving the vaccine. This is as per the directives issued by the Ministry of Health, which need to be adhered to, since the administration of the vaccine does not provide complete protection from infection but helps prevents severe symptoms," Nawal added.

The Zubair Corporation began its campaign to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, ever since the onset of the pandemic. It has worked on a set of awareness initiatives for employees so that precautionary measures can be implemented in the work environment across various companies of the group. It continues to carry out its awareness campaign for employees, with regard to the need of adhering to the precautionary measures even after vaccination and to follow instructions issued by relevant authorities.
