Muscat: The Ministry of Health on Sunday has started COVID-19 vaccination for students aged 12 and above in Dhofar Governorate.
"The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the Governorate of Dhofar, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Education in the governorate, started a vaccination campaign with the first dose for school students aged 12 and over with COVID-19 vaccines as part of the national campaign for immunisation against COVID-19," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al Mashikhi, DGHS in the Governorate of Dhofar, said that the vaccination process has witnessed a good turnout by citizens and residents.
"All immunisation centres are fully prepared to receive school students to take the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, in addition to continuing to give other age groups who are due for the second dose," Dr. Khalid added.
