Royal Thai Embassy and Water-Front to organise ‘Thai Festival’

Muscat: The Royal Thai Embassy is joining hands with Water-Front in organising a truly happening 'Thai Festival' in the beautiful city of Muscat, starting from Wednesday, September 29 – Friday, October 1, from 5 pm – 9pm, at the Water Front square (free entry).

Once entering the festival, the visitors will be blending into the essence of Thainess reflected by the colourful Thai bazaar decorated with locally crafted lanterns, lights and enchanted by the melody of

Thai music, with the panoramic sea view of the Water-Front square. Supported by our Thai community in Oman together with the Royal Thai Embassy, the festival brings to you the real experience from Thailand, showcased by tailor-made cultural performances, live cooking demonstrations and a variety of selected products across the country.

The Thai festival aims at promoting the Thai culture and identity, by introducing the local products reflecting the way of life of Thai people and their culture. The handicrafts and textiles made by villagers, traditional herbal balms and ointments, as well as well-known local fruits such as durian, mangosteen, sweet mango etc., along with household grocery items i.e. cooking ingredients, beauty products and Thai delicacies, will be on display.

To cherish five decades-long strong diplomatic relationships between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Thailand and the close tie between the people of the two friendly countries, the art competition “Amazing Thailand” will be exhibited in parallel with the festival, at Art & Soul Gallery of Water-Front. Starting from 29 September – 2 October 2021, the exhibition offers to exchange of views and the story of Thailand through the eyes of talented Omani and foreign artists.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the festival to witness Thai hospitality and Thailand at a glance.
