Omani pavilion all set for Expo 2020 Dubai starting 1 October
Oman is completing its preparations to participate in Expo 2020 Dubai.

Muscat: Omani pavilion is all set to receive visitors to the Expo 2020 Dubai which will start on Friday, 1 October, 2021, and will continue till 31 March, 2022.

"The Sultanate is completing its preparations to participate in Expo 2020 Dubai, and the Omani pavilion is ready to receive visitors to the Expo, which will start next Friday and continue until March 31, 2022, with the participation of 191 countries and regional and international organisations under the slogan 'Connecting Minds and Creating the Future'," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

His Excellency Mohsen bin Khamis Al Balushi, Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Commissioner General of the Sultanate at Expo 2020 Dubai, said that through the Expo, the Sultanate seeks the participation of the world in finding innovative solutions to meet the challenges facing humanity and maximise the benefits for the Sultanate at all levels.

His Excellency Al Balushi added that the participation aims to highlight the Sultanate as a distinct destination for tourism and doing business, highlighting the Omani identity and the ancient Omani heritage, and promoting investment opportunities in various sectors.

“As part of the preparations for Oman's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed al-Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment and Chairman of the Main Committee supervising the Sutanate’s participation, visited Oman pavilion on Sunday, the official account of Oman Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai said in a statement.


During the visit, His Excellency Mohammed al-Yousef also met with Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of the Expo 2020 Dubai.
