Muscat: Two Asians were arrested by the Directorate General for Narcotics Control in North Al Batinah for smuggling 40 kilograms of hashish via the sea along the coastal areas in Shinas.
A senior official at the Royal Oman Police said that the police received a tip off about a drug smuggler who’d arrived at Muscat International Airport under a tourism visa. After his arrival he began travelling back and forth from Muscat and North Al Batinah Governorates.
He met with a few drug dealers and agreed to smuggle the drugs through Shinas’ coast, and on the day of the operation officers raided the location and arrested everyone involved.
