Agricultural Ministry raids store for violating pesticide law

Muscat: A shop selling seeds has been raided by the Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources for violating the pesticide law.

"The Control Department of the Directorate General of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Dhahirah seized a shop selling agricultural seeds for violating the pesticide law by opening and refilling the containers of termite control pesticides. A violation report was issued and the materials were seized in preparation for taking the legal procedures to be followed in this regard," the Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources said in a statement.
