CIOB signs six training partnerships with firms in Oman

Muscat: The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) signed training partnerships with six companies in Oman on Wednesday during a visit to the country by CIOB chief executive Caroline Gumble.

Mace, Turner & Townsend, Atkins, Douglas OHI, TOCO – The Oman Construction Company and Arabian Industries signed up to the partnerships.

“CIOB training partnerships are set up with built environment organisations wanting to provide their staff with a bespoke training, learning and development plan, leading towards more Chartered members in their workforce,” Gumble posted on LinkedIn.
“It’s a commitment to continuous improvement, professional development and raising standards in the industry. I think today is the first time we’ve signed so many partnerships on one day.”

Aaron Hennessy, general manager at Douglas OHI Oman, UAE and KSA, and chairman of the CIOB Oman Hub, said: “At Douglas OHI, we believe in the power of connection and the power of partnership. To connect and partner with the CIOB strengthens our shared values and enables better dialogue, raising the volume on key industry matters, in particular the well-being of all that work in the built environment in the Sultanate of Oman. We look forward to developing further this professional relationship and sharing the findings throughout the industry.”
