“Find my missing husband as early as possible. It is the fourth day now. I don’t have anything else to say. Please find my husband and return him safely,” Binu told Times of Oman over the phone from India.
John Philip, an Indian fuel station employee at Sunaina near Ibri, some 217 kilometres from Muscat, has been missing since Friday night.

According to John’s company officials, money between OMR4,000 and OMR5,000 is missing from the station, there were blood stains inside the office and CCTV cameras were damaged.
John hails from the south Indian state of Kerala, and has been working in Oman for the last 13 years.
Police initiated a probe after a colleague reported for duty on Saturday morning and found signs of disturbance at the filling station kiosk.
Jacob Philip, the brother of John, said that they all are worried about John’s whereabouts.
“Binu is not having proper food. She is always in the prayer room. Children are not going to school. We are praying for his safe return. We have approached the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Kerala government to find him as soon as possible,” Jacob said.
“He is a good person. Some in Muscat are saying that he may have run away with money. He will never do that. He is a god fearing person. Why should he do that? He loves his family too much. He has never given an opportunity to anybody to say that he is a bad person,” Jacob added.
John’s eldest son is a Class XII student and younger daughter studies in Class V.
Meanwhile, John’s friends in Oman said that they have not received any update from the police officials about the case.
“The colleague who informed the police was taken into custody and was released on Monday. Other than that, there are no other updates,” John’s friends added. Kashif Nisar, the manager of the company where Philip was employed, said that they have not received any update from the police yet.
“As the CCTV cameras were damaged and its cassettes are missing, it is quite difficult to know what has happened. Police are telling us that the probe is on. We are praying that nothing bad happens to him. He was a good person,” the manager added.
