OCS Infotech leads NetApp training as only platinum partner in Oman

Muscat: Oman Computer Services LLC (OCS Infotech), the ICT arm of The Zubair Corporation, completed the Storage Hero training programme by NetApp, a global, cloud-led, data-centric software company,last month to certify IT specialists and professional candidates.

OCS Infotech, the platinum partner for NetAppin Oman, held the five-day training session at their headquarters together with a group of esteemed customers. The annual programmeof OCS aligns with the company’s In-Country Value (ICV) mission and vision to develop and enhance IT capabilities forpotential candidates in the industry.

Neelam Bakshi, Assistant Manager of Support and Contracts at OCS Infotech, stated, “It is a rewarding moment for us to be conducting sessions again, as we have had to take a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. This training programme is the only one of the NetApp training programmes provided in the Sultanate of Oman here at OCS Infotech. We are delighted to finally connect with our customers and associates again.”

‘NetApp Storage Hero by OCS’ is a one-of-a-kind training program conceived and conducted every year by OCS Infotech for trainees to grasp the integral aspects of the IT storage hardware and earn comprehensive administration of ONTAP clusters.

Anu Cherian, General Manager of OCS Infotech, said, “Our Net App Storage Hero training began at OCS Infotech back in 2011. Since then, the company has proudly trained 134 candidates through this specialised qualification. We aim to facilitate more sessions and cover more candidates moving forward.”

Elie Kamel, Regional Channel Lead at NetApp stated: “We could not wait to resume our Storage Hero Program following the ease of restrictions related to the Covid pandemic. Individuals completing the training programme are certified as masters of NetApp facilities. This year's training programme was conducted online and was instructor-led through live lectures and interactive, hands-on exercises.
