Urgent appeal made for platelet donation in Oman

Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) has made an urgent appeal to people with B- blood type to donate platelets today, April 6, at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar.

DBBS said in a statement: "Due to the urgent need for B- platelets, we urge platelet donors to donate platelets today at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm as there are a number of cases that need platelet transfusions." ‎
