Ingredients
Barley broken: 1/2 cup
Milk: 1 litre
Dates: 10 chopped
Ghee: 1 tbsp
Honey: 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder: ½ tsp
Pistachio, almonds and walnuts: 1/2 cup crushed
Preparation
In a bowl add broken barley and wash with water. Add water and soak overnight then drain the water.
Add milk in a large pot and bring it to boil, Add soaked barley and mix well,cover and cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes.
Add chopped dates, mix well, and cook on low flame for 30-35 minutes or till barley is tendered.
Add cardamom powder honey, ghee, pistachio, almonds cashew and mix well, and cook for another 8-10 minutes.
Garnish with some chopped nuts, drizzle some honey garnish and serve hot.
