Muscat: An earthquake of magnitude 5 on the Richter scale has been recorded in Southern Iran on Monday, the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said.
EMC said in a statement that an earthquake in Southern Iran with a magnitude of 5 was recorded at 7:55 pm MCT and at a depth of 10 km. The earthquake was recorded 114 km away from Khasab.
