Mixers beat Wadi in Oman’s Women Volleyball Tournament

Mixers claimed for the second time this year the victory of the Oman’s Women Volleyball Tournament on Friday, Oct 28, 2022 at Bosher Club Muscat coached by Husni Al Busaidi.

The event was conducted by Khalil Balushi with the participation of 16 teams. Khalil al Balushi has been the driving force behind this event and has been the one that brings this community together year after year and month after month.

The final match was played between Mixers Team and Wadi Barangy and the match went into three sets with Mixers defeating Wadi team 13-15, 16-15, 5-3

Their team also won the Best Server by Yara AlMoussaoui, 15 years old from Lebanon, Best Setter by Sarah Pey, 36 years old from Iran, and Best MVP by Racel Buenaflor, 30 years old from the Philippines.

The Mixers is a team of different nationalities, Lebanese, Ukrainian, Iranian, Omani, Brazilian, and Filipino who have come together 4 months ago recording two championships so far.

The Mixers Captain, Katrina Savchenko said: “I want to say that I am very proud of my team. They are strong, friendly, and genuine. In 4 months, we were able to win two times championships, and this was because of our passion for the game, our love for each other, and above all trusting each other despite that we have only known each other for short time. I wish for more victories like that in the next tournaments.”
