Muscat: Many festivals are currently being organised all over the Sultanate of Oman.
The activities of Muscat Airport Bazar, Al Dakhiliyah festival kicked off on Thursday even as the concerts at the Dhofar winter festival continue to attract many visitors.
Muscat Airport Bazar
Oman Airport authority has officially flagged off the Muscat Airport Bazar under the patronage of State Council Member Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish. A number of SMEs are also expected to participate in the festival.
Al Dakhiliyah Festival
Al Dakhiliyah Festival 2023, organised by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism started on Thursday in various Wilayats of the governorate. An array of tourism events and cultural programs are set up to entertain the visitors. Bisya and Salut Center was opened in Bahla with 3 main halls representing different periods in history.
Alongside the festival, the ‘Bisya and Salut Centre’ was inaugurated in the wilayat of Bahla. with 3 main halls representing different periods in history namely -- the Bronze Age, the period of Iron Age and the Islamic period, World Heritage in Oman
Dhofar Winter Festival
The Dhofar Winter Festival commenced on the 16th of February in Thumrait and is expected to go on till the 4th of March.
“Dhofar Winter activities are different this year, as they are being held for the first time in the Najd region in the Wilayat of Thumrait. The festival slogan shitana naho is inspired by the Bedouin dialect in the governorate, naho meaning excellence,” Dhofar Governorate stated.
