Oman participates in UN conference on least developed countries

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Economy, took part in the 5th United Nations (UN) Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), held in Doha, Qatar.

The conference aimed to contribute to setting up a new and ambitious programme of action for the least developed countries.Oman’s delegation was headed by Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy.

The conference also aimed to build capacities and harness the capabilities of science, technology and innovation to confront multidimensional weaknesses and achieve sustainable development goals. It also targeted supporting structural transformation in a bid to achieve prosperity.
