Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested seven people of foreign nationality on charges of possessing narcotics in Muscat Governorate.
A statement issued online by ROP said: “The Directorate General for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances has arrested seven people of Asian nationality on charges of possessing quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances and hiding them in separate places in Muscat.”
The Royal Oman Police has also confirmed that the legal procedures against them are being completed.
Three arrested for theft, vandalism
In another incident, ROP arrested three people on charges of vandalism and theft of large sums of money in Muscat Governorate.
A statement issued online by ROP said that Muscat Governorate Police Command arrested three suspects of Asian nationality on charges of vandalism and stealing large sums of money from a commercial mall in the Wilayat of Seeb, by breaking door locks, breaking safes and donation boxes, and stealing their contents.
The Royal Oman Police confirmed that legal procedures are being completed against them.
