Muscat: The Omani Hajj delegation for this year 1444 AH left the Sultanate of Oman this evening, heading to the Holy Land, headed by Sultan bin Saeed Al Hinai, head of the Omani Hajj delegation.
The members of the mission were seen off upon their departure from Muscat International Airport, by Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al Maamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Dr. Wael bin Saif Al Harasi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, His Excellency Youssef Al-Awdah, Deputy Saudi Ambassador accredited to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of ministry officials.
It is scheduled that the mission will head upon its arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to Makkah Al-Mukarramah, while a team will head to Medina after three days.
The Omani Hajj delegation, during its presence in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, will serve the Omani pilgrimage in the Holy Land and supervise their performance of the rituals easily and effortlessly.
The mission consists of a delegation of fatwas and religious guidance, an administrative and financial delegation, a delegation supervising Hajj companies, a medical delegation, a delegation from the Royal Oman Police, a media delegation, a scout delegation, and a delegation from the State Financial and Administrative Control Authority.
It is worth noting that the number of pilgrims to the Sultanate of Oman this year reached 14,000 pilgrims, while the number of Hajj companies reached 93 authorized companies.
