Royal Decree ratifies tax agreement between Oman, Egypt

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree No. 43/2023 on the ratification of an agreement between the governments of the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The decree deals with the elimination of double taxation for income tax, as well as the prevention and avoidance of tax evasion, signed in Cairo on 22 My 2023—after presenting the same before the Shura Council.

It reads as follows:

Article (1) ratifies the above-mentioned agreement in accordance with the version attached to this decree.

Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and takes effect from its date of issue.
