Dhofar Municipality announces campaign to combat seasonal flies

Muscat: A campaign has been launched to combat the seasonal flies and the Aedes aegypti mosquito by aerial spraying with drones according to field surveys in each region, during Khareef season 2023.

Dhofar Municipality published a notice in which it said: “Dhofar Municipality announces the launch of a campaign to combat the seasonal flies, the arnoot, and the Aedes aegypti mosquito by aerial spraying with drones, and using specialised organic pesticides, according to field surveys in each region, during Autumn season 2023 in the following locations; Ain Razat, Darbat Valley, Ain Jerezeez and Ain Sahlanot.

Accordingly, the Municipality has called on animal breeders and apiary owners to follow the precautionary measures during the spraying period, from 5:30 am to 6:30 am daily during the Khareef season.

Dhofar Municipality called on everyone to cooperate with this initiative for the public good.
