Muscat: The star of Suhail will be seen at dawn, starting from Thursday, August 24, in the middle of the Arabian Peninsula. It signifies the breaking of the intense summer heat, and the onset of spring, rain, and the approach of winter.
With the rising of the star of Suhail, "Al Sufri" season will begin, as it is known in the Gulf. At the beginning of its rising, there will be 40 days in which the weather does not settle for heat or moderation. The moderate weather will settle starting from mid-October.
According to astronomers, the winter season will begin approximately 100 days after the rising of the star Suhail.
