Europcar Oman & Bahrain, a leading mobility services company, is proud to announce its continued support to the Oman Cancer Association (OCA) through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities planned for 2024. The company takes great pride in delivering outstanding experiences to their customers and believe it is only possible due to their hardworking diligent team members. So when it comes to supporting CSR causes their staff initiatives take first preference.
Türkiye Hamad Saud Al Mawli is one such dedicated staff who is passionate about the cause of cancer elimination. Being a member of OCA herself and supporting their programs, Europcar decided to step in and take it further. These initiatives aim to raise awareness about cancer, provide support to cancer patients and their families, and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
At Europcar Oman & Bahrain various activities involve employees, their families, customers, and partners to foster a sense of community and provide an opportunity to raise awareness about the causes the company supports.
An iftar gathering during the holy month of Ramadan, participation in the annual walkathon organized by the Oman Cancer Association etc. are a few such get togethers.
Europcar also plan to arrange screening vans at their office premises that will offer free cancer screenings to its staff, their families, customers, and partners encouraging early detection of cancer and promoting a culture of proactive healthcare within the community.
Recognizing the challenges faced by cancer patients and their families, Europcar has offered a dedicated bus service from their accommodation to the hospital. This service will ensure that patients and their loved ones have a convenient and comfortable means of transportation during their treatment journey. By alleviating the logistical burden, Europcar aims to provide much-needed support towards this.

During the Europcar Annual Staff Event a ceremonial cheque was handed over to representatives of the association, symbolizing Europcar's commitment to supporting the OCA's noble endeavors. The funds will be utilized by the OCA to further enhance their efforts towards providing medical aid, and supporting cancer patients and their families.
Recently the team visited Dar Al Hanan - the Oman Cancer Association (OCA) facility. Dar Al Hanan was established with a noble mission: to ensure that children diagnosed with cancer, regardless of their location have access to the vital treatments and care they need. Recognizing the challenges faced by families residing outside Muscat, OCA embarked on a journey to provide free accommodation, meals and transportation services to patients and their families, allowing them to focus solely on their recovery journey.
As a "Home Away from Home," Dar Al Hanan offers a sanctuary where young patients and their families can find comfort and support during their challenging times. From infancy to the age of 13, they receive round-the-clock care and assistance, ensuring that no child misses out on the opportunity to receive life-saving treatments.
The Europcar Oman & Bahrain team, were deeply moved by the visit, witnessing firsthand the dedication and compassion of the OCA team and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing adversity.
