Muscat: Following the announcement of a $250 million expansion plan in January 2024, SNF has announced the opening of its new Regional SNF Technical Centre Oman (RSTC Oman).
SNF is the world’s leading manufacturer of polyacrylamide with more than 1.5 million tonnes capacity of active content SNF is the foremost global supplier of integrated solutions for chemical enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
This new centre will serve as SNF’s R&D hub for the entire Gulf region.

By establishing a dedicated research and development (R&D) hub in Oman, SNF aims to enhance its capabilities, accelerate product development, and provide tailored solutions that empower clients to navigate complex challenges and seize new opportunities in the ever-evolving energy landscape.

The RSTC-Oman is a hub of innovation with advanced laboratory equipment and specialised resources for polymer studies. It focuses on high-performance anionic polymers (HPAM) for oil and gas applications. Dedicated engineers and technicians at RSTC-Oman specialise in critical areas, including chemical EOR, water shut-off, hydraulic fracturing, drilling and cementing, and production chemicals.
