The sixth match of the T Quiz League Season 1 was a gripping showdown between Lycée Français International De Mascate and Cheltenham Muscat. Held at Downe House Muscat, this encounter saw the lead shift with each round, keeping both teams on their toes.
Representing Lycée Français International De Mascate were Emilia, Melissa, and Louis, under the guidance of their coach, Mr. Rockey Singh. Cheltenham Muscat was represented by Jonah, Rudaina, and Lottie, coached by Ms. Haylie Saunders. Both teams demonstrated impressive knowledge and teamwork as they faced off in this competitive clash.
Testing Knowledge Across Diverse Topics
The match featured a range of challenging questions that tested the participants' understanding across various subjects. For example, one question asked the teams to identify the dam located in the Quriyyat region of Oman, constructed in 2012 to mitigate flash floods. The correct answer, "Wadi Dayqah Dam," would highlight their knowledge of local geography.
In another question, teams were asked about The Little Prince, where a young boy travels across the universe. The question: "What flower on his home planet does he never stop loving and missing?" tested their literary knowledge. The answer, "The Rose," was a nod to the book’s iconic symbol of love and longing.
Strategic Play in Testing Times
The Testing Times round added to the excitement, with categories such as "Fictional First Names," "Flag Facts," "Food Trip," and "Financial Figures." Both teams had to play strategically, selecting categories that would challenge their opponents while minimizing their own risks.

As with all matches, the support from key partners like MHD/INEOS Grenadier, Vodafone, Lulu, Muscat Pharmacy, Malabar Gold, New India Assurance, Oman Oasis, and VOX/Snow Oman/Magic Planet ensured the smooth execution of the event. Produced by TTV and Manzana Events, and hosted by Quizmaster Deepa, the match was yet another display of excellence.
