Muscat: In response to forecasts of heavy rainfall, ranging between 40-90 mm, the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) has announced the suspension of work and study in several governorates across the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
The decision, based on reports from the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center, will affect both the public and private sectors in the governorates of Muscat, South Al Sharqiyah, and North Al Sharqiyah.
In other regions, including Al Wusta, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah, and Al Buraimi, studies will continue remotely to ensure safety while maintaining educational progress.
This precautionary measure is aimed at minimising the potential risks associated with the expected unstable weather conditions.
