UNESCO Sultan Qaboos Prize for Environmental Conservation presented

Muscat: Upon the Royal order of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Minister of Education, Chairperson of the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, presented the UNESCO Sultan Qaboos Prize for Environmental Conservation for the year 2024 to the representative of the Namib Desert Environmental Education Fund, Republic of Namibia in Budapest.

The Fund won the award in its 17th edition for its efforts in the field of non-profit environmental education, which has targeted more than 160,000 students from various educational levels and groups from civil society since its launch.
