Under the aegis of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman, Indian School Al Maabela hosted the 7th edition of Avenir 2024, a dynamic career guidance programme aimed at empowering thousands of students across 22 Indian schools in Oman. Spanning three days, the event is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate an ever-changing world and make informed career choices.
The inauguration ceremony of Avenir 2024 saw the participation of Dr. Sabah M. A. Al-Maawali, Member of the State Council, as Chief Guest, who delivered an inspiring address on the crucial role of technology, innovation, and cybersecurity in shaping the future tomorrow.
The Keynote Address by Professor Dr. Ugur Guven, a leading expert in aerospace engineering & nuclear science engineer, on the topic “Advances in Indian Space Technology and Impact of Indian Space Program on the Global Space Exploration”, provided deep insights into the evolving trends in space science and technology. He had an extensive interactive session with students and answered all their queries. The day’s programme also featured a series of career talks and discussions on various key topics such as Artificial Intelligence & Cyber Security, Allied and Health Sciences, Psychology, Attention Economy and careers in English Language. These sessions were designed to give students the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen fields, empowering them to make informed decisions about their careers.
