Muscat -- The Avenir Career Fair 2024 was inaugurated on Friday at the Crowne Plaza, Muscat, drawing a large crowd of eager students and their parents seeking guidance on pursuing higher education abroad. The event, offers a unique platform to connect with top international universities, colleges, and financial institutions, providing valuable insights into the admission process, scholarships, visa counseling, and more.
With a dynamic atmosphere, the event has quickly become a hub for future scholars, offering a wealth of information on applying to prestigious institutions across the globe. The fair is also open on Saturday, 30th November from 10:30 AM to to 8:30 PM, Crown Plaza , adjacent to Oman Cconvention and Eexhibition Centre (OCEC) .
The event was formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Ugur Guven, Advisory Council Member to the United Nations Center for Space Science and Space Technology Education in the Asia-Pacific Region (UN CSSTEAP), who commended the initiative for bringing together a wealth of educational institutions under one roof in Muscat. "Avenir Career Fair 2024 provides a unique opportunity for students and parents to interact with top universities and colleges, making it easier to navigate the process of choosing and applying for higher education abroad," said Prof. Guven.
A hub of opportunity for aspiring students
With over two dozen of stalls featuring prominent universities & colleges, the fair offered a one-stop platform for students looking to pursue their dreams overseas. Enthusiastic crowds filled the event space, with students accompanied by their parents, engaging in meaningful conversations with representatives from a range of disciplines including engineering, medicine, arts, management, and more.
The Avenir Career Fair is not just about showcasing educational opportunities – it’s also about empowering students with the essential tools and knowledge needed to make informed decisions. The list of participating institutions included world-renowned universities and colleges, financial institutions offering scholarships and student loans, as well as companies providing career guidance and visa counseling.
Some of the key participating institutions are Manipal University College - Malaysia, University of Delhi, Bannaras Hindu University, BITS Pilani, Amity University Dubai, Jain Univeristy -Bangalore, Symbiosis, S.P. Jain School of Global Management and many more.

"I was thrilled by the number of options available and the chance to speak directly with college representatives. It gave me clarity about the admission process, the fee structure, hostel facilities, and course details," she shared.
