Muscat– The Wilayat of Thumrait is currently hosting a series of winter entertainment events organized by the Wali of Thumrait Office, in collaboration with various government agencies and private sector institutions. These events will continue until December 27th.
Taking advantage of the region's moderate winter climate, the events aim to attract visitors and showcase the area's unique cultural and natural attractions. Visitors can explore the stunning sand dunes of Al-Khadf and Al-Hashman, as well as camp in the picturesque valleys and open spaces.
Highlights of the Winter Entertainment Events:
Winter Bazaar: A market featuring 30 stalls showcasing local products and handicrafts.
Cultural Performances: Poetry and singing evenings, and various entertainment competitions for families and children.
Outdoor Activities: Camping, dune bashing, and other outdoor recreational activities.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Hamad Al Maawali, Wali of Thumrait, expressed his enthusiasm for the events, stating that they aim to boost tourism, culture, and the local economy. By supporting small and medium enterprises and creating job opportunities, these events contribute to the overall development of the Wilayat.
