Muscat: President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus arrived in Muscat today on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, lasting several days. During the visit, he will meet with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister led the welcoming party for the Belarusian President and his accompanying delegation at the Royal Airport. The Foreign Minister welcomed the President, wishing him a pleasant stay and a successful visit.
The Belarusian President was also received by Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (Head of the Mission of Honour accompanying the guest), Hamoud Salim Al Tuwaih, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation and non-resident to the Republic of Belarus, Andrei Luchenok, Belarusian non-resident Ambassador to Oman and members of the Mission of Honour accompanying the guest.
During the visit, the Belarusian President is accompanied by an official delegation comprisingViktor Lukashenko, son of the President and President of the Olympic Committee, Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Efimov, Minister of Industry, Anatoly Linevich, Minister of Agriculture and Food and Sergei Terentiev, Non-resident Ambassador of Belarus to Oman.
An official reception ceremony will be held for the guest president at Al Alam Palace tomorrow Sunday.Moreover, an official session of talks will be held between Oman and Belarus under the chairmanship of His Majesty the Sultan and the Belarusian President. The session will discuss means of enhancing cooperation in various spheres.
