Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus held an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace today.
The session reviewed the advanced relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus. It also explored means of promoting cooperation and partnership in the economic, investment, technological and medical fields in a manner that serves interests of the Omani and Belarusian peoples.
The two leaders also discussed some matters of mutual interest and exchanged views on a set of regional and international developments.
The session was attended from the Omani side byHH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (Head of the Mission of Honour) and Hamoud Salim Al Tuwaih, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation and non-resident to the Republic of Belarus.
Meanwhile, it was attended from the Belarusian side byViktor Lukashenko, son of the President and President of the Olympic Committee, Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Efimov, Minister of Industry, Anatoly Linevich, Minister of Agriculture and Food and Sergei Terentiev, Non-resident Ambassador of Belarus to Oman.
After that, His Majesty the Sultan and the Belarusian President held a closed-door session.
