Royal Oman Police solves majority of theft cases

Muscat: Arrests were made in more than two-thirds of thefts recorded last month, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has reported.
In total, 76 accused were arrested by ROP in connection with 93 incidents of theft in July. The crimes occurred throughout the Sultanate, and legal actions were taken against the accused.
The ROP revealed that the rate of theft in Oman has dropped by 49 per cent, compared to the same month last year when 181 crimes were recorded.
