Emir of Qatar concludes visit to Oman

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik led the farewell party at the Royal Airport for Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, who concluded his two-day state visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

His Majesty the Sultan wished the Emir a safe return home.

Along with His Majesty the Sultan, Sheikh Tamim was seen off by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister (Head of the Mission of Honour), Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Al Busaidi, Ambassador of Oman to Qatar, members of the mission of honour and members of the Qatari Embassy in Muscat.

At the end of the visit, His Majesty the Sultan received a cable of thanks from the Sheikh Tamim, who expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation.

Sheikh Tamim expressed his delight over the talks and discussions he had with His Majesty that covered issues of common concern to the two countries and means of enhancing the fraternal relations in various spheres. Heunderlined the joint keenness and determination to continue promoting and consolidating these relations for the good and interest of the two countries’ peoples.
