Sayyid Badr discusses historic ties with Marco Rubio

Muscat: In a phone call to Marco Rubio, Secretary of State of the United States, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister discussed deep historic relations and friendship between the two countries and the need to meet joint aspirations for the development of political, economic and cultural relations.

The two ministers stressed the importance of continuing the existing strategic dialogue and following up with the partnership, trade and knowledge exchange programmes for the interest of the people of two countries.

The two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and expressed joint concerns of the two countries along with their support for the efforts aimed at achieving peace and urged constructive dialogue for solving challenging issues.
