Kuwait: The Sultanate of Oman took part in the 28th meeting of the GCC Information Ministers, held on Monday in the State of Kuwait.
Oman’s delegation was headed by Mohammed Said Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information.
The meeting discussed several topics aimed at enhancing and developing media cooperation among GCC states, including joint media efforts, proposed initiatives and projects for the GCC Strategic Media Cooperation Plan (2023–2030) submitted by member states, as well as the age classification of electronic games, guidelines and regulations for Gulf media production, strengthening media partnerships with regional and international organisations, initiatives for employing artificial intelligence in media production, Gulf media leadership training programmes, and reinforcing the media's role in supporting family and societal cohesion.
Additionally, a pilot version of the joint electronic application for GCC news agencies was launched, coinciding with the 28th meeting of the Information Ministers in Kuwait.
