Heroic rescue saves drowning child in Oman

Muscat: A young child was rescued from drowning off the coast of Mirbat in Dhofar Governorate, thanks to the swift action of a maritime rescue officer from the Coast Guard Police and two courageous citizens.

The dramatic rescue unfolded when the child was spotted struggling in the water. Working together, the officer and the two citizens managed to pull the child to shore and immediately began emergency resuscitation. A grueling 25-minute CPR effort ensued, during which the team fought tirelessly to revive the young child.

Their determination paid off—the child regained consciousness and was quickly transported to the hospital for further treatment.
