123 citizens return home from Iran

Muscat: As part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' ongoing efforts to facilitate the return of Omani citizens from abroad, and in coordination with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Tehran, the second phase of an organised repatriation plan has been successfully carried out.

This latest phase saw the safe return of 123 Omani nationals via Bandar Abbas, following careful coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure their security and smooth travel procedures. Additionally, ten coaches were dispatched to transport citizens from northern regions of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the border with the Republic of Turkey.

A further three coaches were directed toward the Shalamcheh border crossing with the Republic of Iraq, in preparation for their evacuation with the cooperation of neighbouring countries.

The Ministry expressed its gratitude to the Iranian authorities for their collaboration and reaffirmed its commitment to round-the-clock efforts to guarantee the safe and orderly return of all Omani citizens to the homeland.
