Muscat: The Ministry of Labour today inaugurated a three-day development workshop on training governance, aimed at conducting a comprehensive assessment and proposing realistic, effective, sustainable, and streamlined initiatives and projects for the training system.
Salim Musallam Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development, stated that the workshop seeks to reshape the future of government and private training, as well as vocational education in Oman. It aims to develop a roadmap aligning all training pathways with the objectives and enablers of Oman Vision 2040, which prioritizes human capital development.
The workshop will examine key facts, identify general challenges, and reach consensus on solutions. It will also review initiatives, finalize detailed draft plans, and assess the quality of planning and implementation of Oman Vision 2040 within the Ministry of Labour.
Additionally, the event will analyze challenges facing the training sector, explore updated laws and regulations for training governance, and propose projects and initiatives to enhance and regulate the training and human resources development sector in Oman.
