Tehran: Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, met in the Iranian capital, Tehran today Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran,.
The meeting reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran and discussed a set of topics of mutual interest, in addition to exchanging views on diverse regional and international developments.
The two sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation in a manner that enhances the security and stability of the region and serves the common interests of the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Maj.Gen Abdullah bin Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al-Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neighbourhood Department at the Foreign Ministry and some Iranian officials.
The Minister of the Interior arrived at Mehrabad International Airport earlier today, where he was received by Eskandar Momeni, Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran and some Iranian officials.
It is worth noting that the Sultanate of Oman will participate tomorrow, Tuesday, as a "Guest of Honour" in the fourth meeting of the Interior Ministers of the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
