Oman to launch 'National Campaign for Discounts and Promotional Offers'

Muscat: On the occasion of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s Accession Day, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion will launch the 3rd edition of the “National Campaign for Discounts and Promotional Offers on Wednesday 7 January 2026.

Titled “Oman Celebrates”, the campaign will be held in Muscat in partnership with Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and the Consumer Protection Authority.

The launch ceremony will be held under the auspices of Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The campaign will last from 11 January to 11 February 2026. It will see the participation of 814 commercial outlets—more than 154 percent higher in comparison with the first edition. This increase reflects the great community demand and the positive impact of the initiative on the local market.

The primary objective of the campaign is to increase economic activity, support local businesses and boost sales during the celebration period.

One of the key goals is to provide consumers access to products at affordable prices, benefiting a wide range of people across various social segments.

Additionally, it aims to raise commercial movement in Oman by encouraging both local and international brands to participate, while also making essential goods more accessible to the public.
