Muscat: Muscat Municipality, in collaboration with the Military Technical College and teams from the Omani Cycling Federation, has unveiled a new mountain biking trail in the village of Al-Khoudh. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support community sports and encourage healthier lifestyles across the region.
Spanning 22 kilometers, the trail was developed over a two-week period with the help of 220 volunteers. It winds through diverse natural terrain, offering panoramic views and a challenging yet enjoyable experience for cyclists of all skill levels — from beginners to professionals and adventure enthusiasts.
The project reflects a broader commitment to enhancing environmental and sports tourism in the Wilayat of Seeb. It also underscores institutional cooperation aimed at creating open-air sports facilities that improve quality of life and foster community engagement.
Designed with safety and sustainability in mind, the trail is expected to become a key destination for mountain biking in Oman, blending physical activity with the beauty of the country's rugged landscapes.
