Muscat: Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi has intensified diplomatic efforts to defuse rising tensions in the Middle East.
Speaking with ministers from Arab and friendly nations on the ongoing Israeli-American war on Iran, Sayyid Badr called for an immediate cessation of hostilities.
In his discussions, Sayyid Badr stressed that sustainable security, stability, and peace can only be achieved through dialogue, negotiation, and consensus on outstanding regional issues. He urged all parties to exercise restraint and avoid any actions that could further escalate the conflict.
Ministers from across the region echoed Oman’s stance, expressing deep concern over the humanitarian, political, and economic consequences of continued military action.
They warned that pursuing military solutions would only deepen divisions, intensify suffering, and risk dragging the wider region - and the world - into a serious crisis.
The ministers collectively emphasised that the path forward lies in constructive diplomacy, calling for renewed talks and engagement to address the conflict’s root causes. Their unified message underscores the urgent need for de-escalation and a return to peaceful resolution.
