
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued four Royal decrees reading as follows:
Royal Decree No. (51/2026) ascribes the public utility status to the project of constructing a dam for protection against floods in Wadi Meglas in the Wilayat of Quriyat in the Governorate of Muscat.
Article (1) states that the project of constructing a dam for protection against floods in Wadi Meglas in the Wilayat of Quriyat in the Governorate of Muscat, as defined in the memo and diagram attached to this decree, is henceforth deemed a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that the concerned authorities may expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties and lands necessary for the aforementioned project, along with all the installations therein in accordance with the Public Utility Expropriation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 71/2023.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. (52/2026) ascribes the public utility status to the project of constructing a dam for protection against floods in Neyabat of Lima in the Wilayat of Khasab in the Governorate of Musandam.
Article (1) states that the project of constructing a dam for protection against floods in Neyabat of Lima in the Wilayat of Khasab in the Governorate of Musandam, as defined in the memo and diagram attached to this decree, is henceforth deemed a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that the concerned authorities may expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties and lands necessary for the aforementioned project, along with all the installations therein in accordance with the Public Utility Expropriation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 71/2023.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. (53/2026) ascribes the public utility status to the project of constructing a dam for protection against floods in Neyabat of Samad A’Shan in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi in the Governorate of North A’Sharqiyah.
Article (1) states that the project of constructing a dam for protection against floods in Neyabat of Samad A’Shan in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi in the Governorate of North A’Sharqiyah, as defined in the memo and diagram attached to this decree, is henceforth deemed a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that the concerned authorities may expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties and lands necessary for the aforementioned project, along with all the installations therein in accordance with the Public Utility Expropriation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 71/2023.

Royal Decree No. (54/2026) ascribes the public utility status to the project of constructing a dam for protection against floods in Wadi Bani Omar Al Gharbi in the Wilayat of Liwa in the Governorate of North Al Batinah.
Article (1) states that the project of constructing a dam for protection against floods in Wadi Bani Omar Al Gharbi in the Wilayat of Liwa in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, as defined in the memo and diagram attached to this decree, is henceforth deemed a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that the concerned authorities may expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties and lands necessary for the aforementioned project, along with all the installations therein in accordance with the Public Utility Expropriation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 71/2023.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
