Fire breaks out in Fujairah Oil Industry Zone due to drone attack from Iran

FUJAIRAH: The relevant authorities in Fujairah confirmed that a developing fire has broken out in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ), resulting from a drone attack coming from Iran.

Fujairah Civil Defence teams immediately began responding to the incident and are continuing efforts to bring the fire under control.

Additionally, the Ministry of Defence announced the detection of four cruise missiles coming from Iran towards the country, noting that three missiles were successfully intercepted over the UAE’s territorial waters, while another fell into the sea.

The ministry confirmed that the sounds heard in various areas across the country were the result of the successful interception of the aerial threats.

Authorities urged the public not to circulate rumours and to rely only on official sources for information.
