
Muscat --- The State Council and Shura Councils held today their second joint session of the third regular annual sitting of the eighth term of the Council of Oman. The session discussed the reports of the joint committees of the two Councils concerning items of dispute in the draft law on the "Unified System for International Land Transport between GCC States."
The session, chaired by Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, addressed the following draft laws referred by the Council of Ministers: Draft Law Amending Certain Provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law, Draft Law on Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, Draft Law Amending Certain Provisions of the Penal Code, and Draft Law Amending Certain Provisions of the Mineral Wealth Law.
The session was attended by Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, along with members of the State Council and Shura Councils, as well as the Secretaries General of both Councils.
