
Muscat: A 3-day training workshop titled “Enhancing the Export Performance of Omani Enterprises” kicked off on Tuesday at the premises of the Ministry of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in the Governorate of Muscat.
The workshop is organised by the Ministry, represented by "Oman Exports" platform, in cooperation with the International Trade Centre (ITC). It is attended by 30 participants and representatives of 25 Omani exporting companies.
The workshop seeks to enhance the competitiveness of medium and large companies and establishments in the Sultanate of Oman. It elaborates on basic concepts and measures necessary for promoting competitiveness in global markets. It also introduces the participants to methodologies and programmes adopted by the ITC in the field of developing export performance.
The workshop constitutes a preliminary step in implementing an integrated, specialised technical programme that is compatible with the needs of Omani business establishments and their operational characteristics. It enables the Omani establishments to address common challenges and use available opportunities to consolidate their presence in global markets.
